Called and empowered by the grace of God, we covenant to dedicate ourselves to a life of obedience that exemplifies Christ and the gospel. This group shall exist for the purpose of support, communal prayer, receiving the Word, and watching over one another in love. We offer our time, talents, abilities, and resources, acknowledging our dependence upon the power of the Holy Spirit.
- We will spend time every day in prayer
- We will spend at least 15 minutes apart with God every day.
- We will recognize the birthday of each child's baptism, birth through college graduation.
- We will look for ways to lead and implement worship in the community.
- We will practice listening, watching for, and acting upon opportunities to express feelings of appreciation, joy, and concern.
- We will read books to people who can't read or see well.
- We will identify and work for ways to alleviate hunger.
- We will stand up for others who can't stand up for themselves.
Trusting in God's grace, we pray that our hearts be opened to God's presence, that our eyes be opened to see the sorrows and joys of God's creatures, and that our ears be opened to hear God's will. We pledge to support one another as we leave the confines of comfort to enhance our growth as Christians.
