The General Rule of Discipleship
"To witness to Jesus Christ in the world and to follow his teachings through acts of compassion, acts of
justice, acts of worship, and acts of devotion under the guidance of the Holy Spirit."
Covenant Preamble
"We acknowledge the call of Jesus Christ to be his disciples. We covenant together to offer encouragement to
one another to grow in faith that is expressed in action."
Acts of Devotion
I will faithfully spend at least ten minutes in prayer each day.
We will read common daily Bible readings and share our insights as we give an account each week.
Acts of Justice
I will prayerfully establish and carry out a personal set of disciplines regarding diet, exercise, and stress
reduction.
We will provide support to TBOM toward Ashleigh Meadows low-income housing development.
Tony will bring in a topic that needs attention for us to participate in some way to help make a change for the
better.
Acts of Compassion
I will make a weekly contact with someone in need in our congregation, as directed by the group.
When I am aware of someone in need, I will perform an act of compassion/service.
Acts of Worship
Monthly, we will participate in events at different churches.
At least twice a year, we will participate — as a group — in a retreat or an educational outing.
