Having been called by the mystery of God, using the gifts we have been given and empowered by our sense of responsibility that recognizes the inherent worth and dignity of every individual, we pledge ourselves to living as disciples; receiving grace for ourselves and others through acts of compassion, justice, worship, and devotion; and developing a lifelong practice of carrying out these acts of grace so that we may all grow in love and harmony. With God's grace and one another's help, we covenant to . . .
Acts of Compassion
We will be alert for opportunities to reflect Christ to those with whom we come into contact.
We will express genuine appreciation to at least one person each day.
Acts of Justice
We will not be silent when confronted with social injustice; and we will witness for justice, inclusiveness, and equality and will encourage reconciliation wherever possible.
We will practice responsible stewardship of the world's resources in the context of our personal lives and community commitments.
Acts of Devotion
We will practice daily devotions, which include Scripture.
We will pray each day.
Acts of Worship
We will prayerfully consider what resources we can contribute each week to the work of Christ in the world. We will pray for those who lead us in worship each week, and especially for the pastor.
Trusting grace, we pledge to support one another as we leave the confines of comfort in our search to do God's will in the world.
