A one-day event for pastors and key leadership teams, with the purpose of helping them develop the kinds of strategies that will enable the local church to effectively reach people and make disciples of Jesus Christ. To encourage follow-through, a local church "plan for action" is provided for each team.

Foundations for Effective Ministry:

• Vision: Discerning God's vision and listening for what God is calling us to be and do.
• Spiritual Formation: Involving church leaders as well as the entire church family in spiritual growth experiences out of which the vision of God arises.
• Leadership: Building and sustaining the kind of leadership team that will keep the church focused and faithful to its mission.
• The World: Seeing, understanding, and caring about the world of which we are a part.
• The Plan/Strategy: Strategizing around the vision, then developing a specific action plan for the church.
• Hospitality: Expecting, preparing for, and receiving visitors, and doing effective follow-up.
• Change: Planning and implementing change without creating chaos.
